The Founding Fathers

I took a deep dive into early American history, learning about the Revolution and Independence from the British Empire, to the eventual establishment of a Republic. The Founding Founders have been integral, with each member playing a crucial role in the events. I found these particular figures to be incredibly fascinating, despite their flaws. I wanted to capture the seven most prominent founders in the same room. While these men certainly met each other individually at some point, they were likely never all in the same room together. Since no group portrait of these seven founders exists, I sought to create my own group shot. This gathering takes place during the early Republic period (1789 or 1790), with the backdrop being Independence Hall, the birthplace of our nation in Philadelphia.
The roster from left to right is John Jay, Alexander Hamilton, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison.
