Multimedia on masonite board

This self-portrait was inspired by the naturalistic portrait painted in 2010. I decided to modernize it, incorporating several media, with nods to various art movements over the past couple of centuries.

The media included in this portrait are: painting (oil and acrylic), sculpture (clay and paper mâché), collage, mosaic, digital (Photoshop), and photography. The art movements and influences range from various sources, notably but not limited to: Picasso, Braques, Close, Seurat, Van Gogh, Lichenstein, and Pollack.

The painting has many three dimensional aspects that are hard to see in the flat image.
