Hué was a one night stay, so I saw a lot in a small amount of time. Hué was the national capital until 1945 when a communist government was established in Hanoi in the north.

Thien Mu Pagoda.

The turtle's head is rubbed for good luck.

Hue Imperial City. It's a big complex, mostly destroyed during the U.S. Vietnam war. It is slowly being built back to its former glory.

I visited the tombs of many former Vietnamese emperors.

I sat down and they served me whatever it is they specialized in. Whatever it was, it was good!

Overnight train ride!

This family wanted their kids to practice their english with a westerner. I was glad to speak with them. Great moment!
