To be frank, I visited Mexico mainly to see Chichén Itzá, my sixth World Wonder. As it turned out, I really loved Mexico, and made great friends on my tour. I am glad Chichén Itzá was the motivation for me to finally visit the country south of the border. I would definitely like to return to Mexico one day!

This is El Castillo. The ancient Mayan city thrived from around 600 AD to 1200 AD.

Unfortunately, visitors are no longer allowed to climb the ruins here.

The entire complex has several ruins.

Souvenir meets the real thing.

There were dozens of stalls selling tourist merchandise. You won't see that in the tourist pamphlets!

My amazing tour group made a great trip even greater. Thank you!
