This a portrait of the great bounty hunter Boba Fett, from the Star Wars universe. The backdrop might look familiar, as it is from the famous Mona Lisa. I was excited to combine two of my favorite universes into one painting...that of George Lucas, and Leonardo Da Vinci.
I did this during a recess between school semesters, and originally planned to paint the same image four times, each in a different medium (oil, gouache, and acrylic), but after the first one, with its detail being time consuming enough, I decided to stop there. The next school semester snuck up on me. Fortunately, this first one was satisfying.

This painting was displayed at the ASA Artist's Ball, in 2004.
