The Great Wall was my seventh and final World Wonder. Combining several destinations throughout my East Asia trip (including South Korea and Japan), I stopped into Beijing, China for a few days with the intent of visiting the Great Wall. This was the only World Wonder I visited completely on my own.

This is the entrance to the Badaling section of the wall. It was the best preserved section of the wall, and one of the most visited.

There were a lot of visitors (mostly Chinese). The crowds dispersed, the higher I climbed.

Those steps were steep! They were all different heights too.

Shoot your arrows through here!

It was exhausting to climb. Everybody needed to take a periodic break.

Souvenirs from each stop along the way.
